1. Purpose of Heat Treatment
Eliminating Residual Stress: Through sophisticated high-temperature tempering or normalizing treatment, we successfully remove internal stresses that occur during welding or cold working, thereby averting the threat of stress corrosion cracks.
Refine the Grain Structure: By enhancing the toughness and impact resistance of steel, we ensure it withstands cyclic loads in high-pressure environments, delivering exceptional durability.

2. Typical Process Parameters
Heating Temperature: Normally set between 880-920ºC for normalizing or 600-650ºC for tempering. Precise adjustments cater to material specifications like HP295 and HP345.
Heat Preservation Time: Carefully determined based on cylinder wall thickness, typically 1.5 to 3 minutes per mm, ensuring thorough and uniform heat penetration for the best results.
Cooling Method: Normalizing requires air cooling, while gradual cooling post-tempering is vital to prevent secondary stress development.
